Arvind Kejriwal reacted to the general budget saying that it was a directionless budget

Arvind Kejriwal reacted to the general budget saying that it was a directionless budget with no steps to bring down inflation in the country. Neither will many new jobs be created nor has the government taken any steps to curb corruption. He further said that the budget missed out on important issues like corruption, inflation and looming drought.

Kejriwal said: “The people of India had high expectations from the budget, but it turned out to be dud. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made several promises to the people if they are voted to power. There was nothing in the budget that was presented. There is no mention of provision to make health and education facilities better.”

“If you closed your eyes and heard (Arun) Jaitley properly, you would have thought it was Chidambaram speaking,” Kejriwal said.
