Aam Aadmi Arvind Kejriwal rejects pompous VIP culture in Delhi

Arvind Kejriwal will use the metro to get to Ramlila Maidan to take oath as the Delhi Chief Minister. “I will take the metro to reach Ramlila Maidan for the oath-taking ceremony,” Kejriwal said.

Arvind Kejriwal also confirmed that the 27 other elected members of his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will also ride the metro for the oath ceremony.

The cabinet will include Arvind Kejriwal, Somnath Bharti, Manish Sisodia, Girish Soni, Rakhi Birla, Saurabh Bhardwaj and Satyendra Jain.

Arvind Kejriwal tweeted “Many people asking me for passes for tomo’s oath ceremony. No passes needed. All are welcome. Its ur prog. My family will also sit in public.”

Arvind Kejriwal has turned down a government bungalow proposed by Delhi Chief Secretary D.M Spolia and refuses to take the security cover.

Arvind Kejriwal has invited Anna Hazare, Santosh Hegde and Kiran Bedi for the swearing in ceremony.

Arvind Kejriwal also appealed to all honest officers to approach him via SMS, emails and letters. “We would give such officers good position in our government, and take their help to make strategies,” Kejriwal told reporters.
