Today, Arvind Kejriwal filed his nomination papers at district magistrate’s office from Varanasi to take on BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

Arvind Kejriwal accused Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi of using black money in election campaign. He said: “I don’t have money to fight elections. I am a fakir. I just have Rs. 500 in my pocket. I have heard that Modi and Rahul are spending a massive amount of money in campaigns. You can watch the advertisements of BJP and Congress in TV, newspapers, billboards, internet and everywhere. If Modiji is elected to power, he will make at least Rs. 5 lakh crore. Rahul Gandhi is cheating the people of Amethi.  There is no development in Amethi. Aam Aadmi will never see their leaders in mohallas and villages. They can only see their helicopters flying in the sky. It looks like ‘Helicopter Democracy’. I hope this doesn’t happen in Varanasi. Now, people of Varanasi have to decide what they want to do.”

Varanasi will see a triangular contest among Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal, BJP PM’s candidate Narendra Modi, and Congress candidate Ajay Rai for the first time in the Lok Sabha Elections. Quami Ekta Dal leader Mukhtar Ansari has withdrawn from the electoral race of Varanasi to avoid division of secular votes. Mukhtar Ansari has filed his nomination papers for the Ghosi Lok Sabha Constituency from the central jail of Agra.

Tomorrow, Narendra Modi will file his nomination papers from Varanasi. Modi will also hold a roadshow ahead of filing his nomination papers for the Lok Sabha Polls at the district magistrate’s office.

Varanasi will go to the polls on May 12, and the result will be declared on May 16.
