The Aam Aadmi Party leader H S Phoolka on Sunday has demanded that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) be constituted to probe the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.

“The NDA government should immediately make the SIT functional and get these 237 cases re-investigated,” advocate H S Phoolka said.

Aam Aadmi Party leader and Supreme Court lawyer HS Phoolka has written a letter to Akal Takhat Jathedar head Gurbachan Singh to issue directions to the SAD government in Punjab to get justice for Sikh genocide.

H S Phoolka said “The LG has ensured that Arvind Kejriwal request would be seriously considered and the prime minister will be informed, but ‘formation of SIT’ was never issued. Nanavati commission had closed 241 anti-sikh riot cases as untraced and 237 of those should be reopened. All these cases should be reopened for investigations.”
