Aam Aadmi Party MLAs will meet today to discuss the issue of government formation

Aam Aadmi Part (AAP) MLAs on Tuesday said they have been offered money by the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) to break away from the party and help BJP form the government in the capital.

The Aam Aadmi Party will hold a meeting of its MLAs at the Constitution Club today afternoon to discuss the issue of government formation.

Among the AAP MLAs who have made the claims of being approached by the BJP include Rajesh Garg (Rohini), Raju Dhingan (Trilokpuri) and Manoj Kumar.

The Independent MLA Rambir Shaukeen said that he is ready to unconditional support to BJP. He further said “If BJP stakes claim to form government in Delhi, then I will offer my full support. I think even Binny bhai will also offer unconditional support if BJP forms govt in Delhi.”

AAP leader Manish Sisodia said :”AAP is unfazed about MLAs defecting from us. The party has all information from the MLAs and, they keep updating us about the situation. We are fully aware that BJP is trying to break the party, but we are confident our MLAs are not susceptible to these requests.”

Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) has 34 MLAs and need the support of two MLAs to prove his majority of 36 in a house of 70.

Meanwhile, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal Tuesday requested Delhi Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung to give Rs.1 crore as compensation to the family of a police constable Manna Ram, who was run over by a car while on duty in the capital.
