By on October 22, 2013

AP’s national convener Arvind Kejriwal, alongwith candidates from Matia Mahal (Shakeel Anjum), Ballimaran (Farhana Anjum) and Chandni Chowk  (Vikram Badhwar), took part in padyatra in the famous old city of Delhi. The motive of the padyatra was to ask people about their problems and discussed possible solutions.

Arvind Kejriwal and other candidates were welcomed with loud cheers when they reached near the Jama Masjid area. Local residents and shopkeepers had gathered at the place who then voiced their concern about rising electricity bills and poor water supply in the area.

AAP leaders reiterated their promise of reducing electricity tariff and improving water supply. The other problems that people told AAP leaders were related to sewage, street lighting and education of children.

AAP received a tremendous response from the locals, who were elated to meet AAP leaders. They promised to whole heartedly support the change that AAP is fighting for. The padyatra ended at Chandni Chowk from where AAP’s candidate is Vikram Badhwar.
