Aam Aadmi Party protest against Mumbai gang-rape

Mumbai was shaken when a bitter news of a photojournalist being raped was spread all over India. A young journalist  shooting for an assignment was raped by five men in Shakti Mills in the Mahalaxmi area. She was taken to Jaslok hospital, where doctors said that her condition is stable.

Their is public outrage across the country. The political parties, journalists, and  media persons  are demanding harshest punishment to the perpetrators.
The Aam Aadmi Party condemned brutal gang rape of the young photographer. Women-safety has been one of the top agenda of Aam Aadmi Party. The Aam Admi Party organised a protest at Azad Maidan that saw supporters come and join them in demanding justice for the photojournalist who was raped. To express their solidarity with the raped woman who is admitted in Jaslok hospital, a large number of young journalists were also present in the protest.

Shazia Ilmi, Aam Aadmi Party activist expressed strong disapproval against the rape happened in Mumbai. She said it is unbelievable that this incident happened in Mahalaxmi area in Mumbai because the area is always crowded. She further said that she will stand with the victim and fight for her.
