Congress supported AAP candidate MS Dhir for the post of speaker. “We have issued a whip to our MLAs to support the AAP candidate,” Delhi Congress President Arvinder Singh Lovely told PTI. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said it doesn’t matter who becomes the Speaker. We’ll continue to work the way we have been.

Maninder Singh Dhir is Chief Warden of Civil Defense. He is involved in social service work and has been organizing Blood donation camps. He has received Rashtrapati Padak twice for his involvement in social work. He is AAP candidate and won as an M.L.A from Jangpura constituency in Delhi.

Jagdish Mukhi is a former minister of Finance, Planning, Excise and Taxation and Higher Education in the Delhi government.
