Arvind Kejriwal asked LG Najeeb Jung to dissolve the Delhi Assembly within seven days
Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal today asked lieutenant-governor Najeeb Jung to dissolve the Delhi Assembly within seven days. He further said if Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung does not dissolve the assembly within a week, AAP will undertake a door-to-door campaign demanding for fresh elections in Delhi.
Arvind Kejriwal also alleged that Lt Governor Najeeb Jung is under the influence of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP). “The L-G is trying to save his chair. If he does not listen to the BJP, he will lose his chair,” Kejriwal said.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) yesterday held a rally at Jantar Mantar to press its demand that the assembly be dissolved and re-election be held in Delhi.
Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal attacked the BJP government at the Centre for “not allowing” dissolution of Delhi assembly as the party was “not ready to face the electorate” in the city.
“We are gathered here to demand re-election in Delhi. The BJP and the Congress are running away from the election,” AAP leader Manish Sisodia said.
