Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today attended Republic Day celebrations at Rajghat in the national capital. Arvind Kejriwal today tweeted “A v happy republic day to everyone.” and posted in facebook “Happy Republic Day to you and your family.”

Addressing the people of India on the eve of 65th Republic day, President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday said that “populist anarchy was not a substitute for good governance. False promises lead to disillusionment, which gives birth to rage, and that rage has one legitimate target: those in power.”
The President statement could be viewed as veiled attack on Arvind Kejriwal.

Addressing a rally at Chhatrasal stadium on the eve of Republic Day in New Delhi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said : “The Jan Lokpal Bill is almost ready and will be passed at a special session in Ramlila Maidan in February. The Jan Lokpal Bill promises strict action against people who indulge in corruption. The security of women in the national capital is “highly compromised. The government has formed a committee under the Chief Secretary for the formation of ‘Mahila Suraksha Dal’ in the city.”

Meanwhile, a rickshawpuller Vijay Baba inaugurated New Delhi Municipal Council’s upgraded Palika Maternity Hospital in Lodhi Colony after Arvind Kejriwal asked him to do the honors.
