Arvind Kejriwal Day 1 was spent in hectic sessions with government officials, and a cabinet meeting on the new government’s strategy.
Arvind Kejriwal has transferred nine senior bureaucrats, including the Finance Secretary, Power Secretary and CEO of Delhi Jal Board.

Delhi Jal Board CEO Debashree Mukherjee was replaced by Senior IAS officer Vijay Kumar. Debashree Mukherjee was transferred to the Delhi Transport Corporation.

Puneet Goyal has been appointed as the new Power secretary. Secretary R. K. Verma, who is also the CMD of Delhi Transco Ltd and Chairman of Pragati Power Corporation Ltd, has been shifted as the Principal Secretary of Higher Education.


Archana Arora is the new Finance Secretary. Delhi Finance Secretary MM Kutty, who was also Principal Secretary to former CM Sheila Dikshit, has been transferred as Principal Secretary in the Social Welfare and Women and Child Development department.

Arvind Kejriwal met with Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi and discussed ways of improving the law and order situation, and with Managing Director of Indraprastha Gas Limited ( IGL) Narendra Kumar to discuss the hike in prices of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in Delhi.

Arvind Kejriwal has assured people to come up with a solution by Monday night on providing 700 litres of water daily to all households in the city. He further assured people to reduce the electricity charges by early next week.

Arviind Kejriwal allocated bureaucrats to all the cabinet ministers. Higher Education Secretary Rajendra Kumar is appointed as principal secretary to the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. C Arvind, Additional Commissioner in Trade and Taxes department, is appointed as secretary to Manish Sisodia. Vinay Bhushan, General Manager of Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC), has been appointed to Somnath Bharti. Additional Director in Education department D Verma has made appointed Secretary to Rakhi Birla. Special Commissioner (Trade and Taxes) P K Panda will assist Minister Satyender Jain. C Uday Kumar, Additional Secretary in Urban Development department, has been made secretary to Girish Soni, and G Sudhakar, Deputy Inspector General (Prisons), Tihar Central Jail, will assist Saurabh Bharadwaj.

Meanwhile, AAP will provide one phone number to all the people of Delhi to register complaint about anyone who demands bribe.
