Arvind Kejriwal files nomination against Sheila Dikshit

Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal Saturday filed his nomination from the New Delhi assembly constituency  for the upcoming Delhi Assembly Election.

Arvind Kejriwal was accompanied by his father Gobind Ram Kejriwal, mother Gita Devi and former naval chief Admiral Ramdas besides a large number of supporters to Jamnagar House where he filed nomination papers on Saturday morning, the last day for filing nominations.

“It’s a historic election. 15 years of corrupt rule will be thrown out of power. We are campaigning not to make me the CM, but to make every citizen feel like the CM of Delhi,” the Aam Aadmi Party chief said.

The constituency will witness a triangular contest between Sheila Dikshit, the BJP’s Vijender Gupta and Kejriwal.

AAP on Friday completed its list of candidates for Delhi Assembly polls by announcing Dataram Bainsla as its nominee for Ghonda constituency. With this the party has announced candidates on all the 70 seats.
