Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on Thursday said that the centre is ready to give ‘some more time’ to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on their decision to form the government in Delhi.

Sushilkumar Shinde told reporters that the Central government has asked the Lieutenant Governor as to how much time the AAP has sought for formation of government in Delhi. “We will give some more days (to AAP) for government formation in Delhi. This a democratic process,” he said.

Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday replied back that they are not answerable to the Home Minister on this issue. AAP will take a decision on the government formation in Delhi on Monday, December 23.

Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung has recommended imposing President’s Rule in Delhi as the assembly tenure comes to an end. The situation is unclear whether the Aam Aadmi Party will form the government in Delhi.

The Aam Aadmi Party will hold jan sabhas on Saturday and Sunday to seek public opinion on whether or not the party should form government in Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal said he is personally against his party forming the government in Delhi.
