Arvind Kejriwal to visit Punjab on June 3rd

Arvind Kejriwal will visit Punjab on June 3rd to hold a meeting with the four newly elected Lok Sabha candidates of the party from the Punjab state. He will also pay obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib, and Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar.

Aam Aadmi Party’s next mission is the Punjab, where assembly election scheduled in 2017. The party is looking to put its Lok Sabha Elections failures behind and focus on the Assembly Election.

Arvind Kejriwal will meet MP’s, volunteers, members, and party supporters to consult and discuss the restructure of party’s unit in Punjab.  Along with Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and Jarnail Singh will also visit the Punjab state.

The AAP put an impressive show in Punjab and has done reasonably well for a party that is barely a year and a half old. AAP garnered 24.4 per cent of the total votes in Punjab. In Delhi, the party vote share has increased from 29% in Assembly elections in December 2013 to 34 % today. The vote share appeared to be 3.5% per cent for the AAP in the country.
