Arvind Kejriwal Speech

On December 4, the miracle happened. We had never imagined we would start a party. We had decided no matter we lose or win, we will always stand for the truth. No one expect us we would win. Politicians mock at us, that we will lose, but truth prevails. Middle class is aam aadmi, street food vendor is aam admi, anyone who wants to banish corruption is aam aadmi. We are not playing politics of parties. We are Aam Aadmi, we never thought we will contest elections, but now we have to think what aam aadmi wants. We are here for development. We stand here to clean the politics of the country. Nobody had thought that AAP would win 28 seats. We are against VIP culture. We want strong Jan Lokpal Bill. The existing Lokayukta law in Delhi is very weak. We demand Delhi should be given full statehood. We want power companies should be audited. The government schools need to be improved and also increased. We will improve the conditions of the people living in unauthorised colonies. We are opposed to FDI in retail. We would work for creation of ‘Special Women’s Protection Force. We want to ensure that people in Delhi get clean water to drink and cheap electricity. Seven ministers cannot meet these challenges. Seventy MLAs cannot. We all will have to come together to root out corruption.
