Black Day For Democracy: Nitin Gadkari defamation case on Arvind Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal has been sent to 14 days of judicial custody as he has refused again to take bail in the defamation case filed by former president of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) Nitin Gadkari. Kejriwal was sent to judicial custody till June 6.

Once again during the court hearing Arvind Kejriwal called Nitin Gadkari a corrupt politician. “Main ye samajhna chahta hoon ki mera kasoor kya hai. (I want to know what is my crime). Why didn’t the court accept my undertaking?” Mr. Kejriwal asked to the court. AAP Senior Leader Somnath Bharti  too said “There is no drama here. How can a defamed person like Gadkari file a defamation case? He has no fame, he is corrupt.”

It is been alleged by Aam Aadmi Party that bribe were paid to the top politicians of Maharastra , including BJP former President Nitin Gadkari in irrigation scam.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has declared to will launch a public awareness campaign “to remind the people about the involvement of former BJP President Nitin Gadkari in mega land scams and his attempts to provide favours to private companies in Maharashtra”.

The next hearing will be on 6th June.While going back to Tihar, Arvind said something to the media people.
