Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday described the Lokpal Bill passed in the Parliament as weak and ineffective and said there is no rift between him and Anna Hazare. Arvind Kejriwal further said Annaji is my guru and he can say anything to me, whatever he wants. But political parties are spending crores of rupees to create differences between him and Anna Hazare.

In response to the views of the people on whether to form a Government in the capital, AAP has received over 6 lakh responses through SMS, email and phone calls. The Aam Aadmi Party will hold jan sabhas on Saturday and Sunday to seek public opinion on whether or not the party should form government in Delhi.

Arvind Kejriwal said a section of selected MLAs favoured forming the government while another section was opposed to it, so we had decided to go back to the people and conduct a “referendum” on the issue.

Arvind Kejriwal said he is personally against his party forming the government in Delhi. “I was personally against the forming of a government. Because we had maintained that we won’t take support from or give to Congress or BJP.”, said Kejriwal.

The party will make public its stand on Monday and convey to the Lt Governor Najeeb Jung. Meanwhile, Anna Hazare broke his nine-day fast shortly after Lok Sabha passed the Lokpal Bil.
