AAam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday said that it has enough evidence to prove its allegations against Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Satish Upadhyay over power discoms.

“Satish Upadhyay said he would quit politics if we present evidence. Today we will present evidence. Hope he keeps his word,” the AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal tweeted.

“He has to save his skin, so he will certainly say that he will file a defamation case, let him…Meters may be manufactured anywhere, but installation has been carried out by them (BJP),” Arvind Kejriwal said.

The AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal said that Satish Upadhyay has certain firms which were installing and replacing meters for BSES discoms in the city. Kejriwal said that people of Delhi are complaining about meters running too fast and that meters should be inspected.

Kejriwal further said that BJP’s Delhi unit chief Satish Upadhyay owns 6,000 shares in New Delhi Communication Network (NCNL). He accused BJP that the price of electricity has only risen in the capital despite BJP promise to reduce electricity tariff by 30 percent.
