Onion political war is going on in Delhi

With onion prices rising faster and faster, the Delhi Government is selling the basic commodity at Rs. 50 per kg at 1000 points across the city keeping in mind images (1)Delhi Assembly Elections due in November this year.

“Onion” has shown its power in 1998 when BJP lost the 1998 Delhi Assembly Elections due to rising price of onion and since then it is failed to return to power.

The price of Onion was Rs 50/kg in the first week of August and increased to Rs 80/kg yesterday. The price is expected to increase even more.

BJP and AAP have been attacking the government on the issue of high onion prices. Aaam Aadmi Party (AAP) is selling at Rs. 40/kg against the market rate of Rs. 80/kg to woo the Delhi voters.
