Protest outside Arvind Kejriwal’s residence; Arvind Kejriwal suspended 14 Delhi Jal Board (DJB) engineers

Right-wing activists group on Sunday staged a protest outside Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence against party leader Prashant Bhushan’s controversial Kashmir statement.

Earlier, Prashant Bhushan called for a referendum in Kashmir Valley to decide on deployment of the Army to deal with security threats in the valley. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said he didn’t agree with Prashant Bhushan that there needed to be a referendum in the Kashmir Valley.

The activists also tried to stop Arvind Kejriwal’s car when he was going to attend the party’s Political Affairs Committee (PAC) meeting. Hindu Raksha Dal also demanded the release of their leader Pinki Choudhary.

Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal said that AAP government has started examining papers related to the Commonwealth Games and Delhi Jal Board. Kejriwal said that the action will be taken against those people involved in corruption, and whosoever involved in corruption will not be spared.

Following the instructions by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) on Saturday suspended 14 engineers. Arvind Kejriwal is also the chairperson of Delhi Jal Board.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that he would contest Lok Sabha Elections 2014 if his party asks him to do so. Arvind Kejriwal has not officially confirm his participation. Kejriwal said that the fight will be between BJP and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). The Congress is nowhere in the picture.

“If the need arises, then I will contest elections. Personally, I don’t want to contest elections,” Arvind Kejriwal said.

Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party’s Political Affairs Committee (PAC) will hold a meeting on Sunday to take a decision over MLA Vinod Kumar Binny. The committee is likely to expel Vinod Kumar Binny from the party.

Arvind Kejriwal and his ministers have threatened to hold protest outside the Home Minister’s office if action was not taken against three SHOs and two ACPs. Arvind Kejriwal appeals people of Delhi to join protest from 11am on Monday if police officials not suspended.
