Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Friday donated Rs 5 lakh to Aam Aadmi Party, stating that AAP was the only political body whose ideologies and agendas  has impressed him.

“I have supported policies of political parties, and indeed candidates, which are consistent with my political beliefs. I have been a long standing advocate of the need for governance reforms and a change in the way governments conduct themselves. At this stage, the Aam Aadmi Party’s views on transparency, corruption-free government, etc., resonate closely with my beliefs, and hence, my support,” said Chandrasekhar.

His announcement on Facebook said: “Made my first financial support to Aam Aadmi Party for their Delhi campaign—Rs 5 Lakhs! Their performance in the Delhi elections is important for all those who care about the ‘real issues’ of governance and politics of serving people! It’s no longer ok to be silent and mute spectators to what is happening! Take a stand!”
